Hi Lou, Joey has been great and eating well. He hasn't wanted to sit on my lap as long as he used to, but I'd rather see him eat heartily which he is doing. Started to snow a bit but it's not supposed to accumulate much. Take care.

Hi Barbara, well the torch has been passed from Dave to me. He left you a detailed briefing on his pet sitting. When I arrived yesterday, Murphy came running to the door and I got the royal treatment. She was apparently happy and looked good. After pilling and chores, we sat on the chair in front of the picture window for a petting session in the streaming sunshine.

Vacation

Hello everybody,
My vacation this week has been a much-needed period of relaxation. I had several activities scheduled, but as often happens, things don't always work the way they are planned. The week is filled with sadness, as the health of my 18-year-old cat, Mocha, has deteriorated to the point of knowing that the end time is here. I adopted Mocha from a shelter at the age of three. I had gone there to buy a ticket for an event, and while I was there, checked out the cat section. In the very last cage was this sweet cream and white adult cat. Sensing he was friendly, I opened the cage door, and he immediately came forward and placed his paws on my chest and rubbed my face. He's been doing that for the past 15 years. I will miss him beyond belief.
